Shawn Marion was already a staple and All-Star for the Phoenix Suns by the time Steve Nash joined the team in the 2004 offseason, but when they played together, they helped shape the game the way we know it today. Lightning quick speed, fast cuts, off-the-break threes, and hellacious defense were a staple in the Suns' iconic seven seconds or less offense, an offense that Marion helped firmly established as the way the team would win. Marion and Nash completely bought into this idea together, and while their individual stats may have gone down, they would make the Western Conference Finals in 2 out of 3 years! Marion would be apart of the deal for Shaquille O'Neal during the 2007-08 season, and his presence on the team would be drastically missed form there on out.
